Product Information
Overview
A new series of recovery boards called Reco-Traks. The product is manufactured by one of the biggest brands in the space, TRED, in Brisbane Australia. The Reco-Traks are an updated design on TRED’s popular GT Series boasting a more modern look as well as improved performance.
Available in three distinct colors, the choice is yours as to whether you want to be covert or overt. Personally, we like to go loud with our striking Ironman 4×4 Green Reco-Traks. Additional advantages to the green is that they are much easier to find once buried in the sand or mud. Alternatively, the Reco-Traks are available in Tactical Grey, while if you’re keen on the full military spec (potentially to set off your Sandy Taupe LC70) a set of Desert Sand colored Reco-Traks might be just the finishing touch.
Features:
Mathematically Placed Teeth: From research across hundreds of popular off-road tire tread patterns, Reco-Traks teeth have been strategically placed along the board for greater traction.
Concave Ramp: Performance improvements start with the improved concave ramp design to help your tires easily suck the ramp in and under your vehicle’s tires.
Sand Scoop: Molded with a deep gutter, the end of each Reco-Traks are designed to be multi-use and capable of digging sand out from under your tire for optimal traction and to save your bacon when you forget to pack your Ironman 4×4 shovel.
Directional Design: The placement and angle of the teeth across the board are designed to assist with entry and exit of the board and easily allows for the board to be spun around for either forward or reverse recovery.
Lower, Lighter, Stronger: The new Reco-Traks are also lower profile for compact storage, lighter at just 6lbs per board and stronger for greater durability.
Daisy Chain: A simple yet effective design in the entry and exit moldings allows for boards to be linked together to create a longer single section where greater momentum is required.
On Vehicle Storage: For securing the Reco-Traks to your vehicle there is an included set of quick release stainless steel mounting pins, capable of mounting up to 4 boards. These pins slot straight into many T-slot channels, alternatively a solid base plate is additionally available to allow for a range of other suitable mounting surfaces such as cage racks.
Rated for vehicles up to 9,900 lbs (4,500 kg).
Includes:
- Reco-Traks Recovery Boards (one pair)
- Recovery Board Leashes (one pair)
Customers praised the boards' quality and durability, noting they are "very well made" and "solid." Many appreciated them as free promotional items. Some mentioned they're "slightly heavier than other brands." Issues included missing components (leashes, brackets), wrong color shipments, and poor customer service responsiveness.
- Very pleasantly surprised by their quality. I'd recommend them to anyone.
- Very light and stack nicely. Easy to throw under a tire to get that extra traction!
- Boards have held up well under a variety of conditions. Stack snuggly together.

I like the bright green color, it's easier to spot them in the snow, mud or sand. Solid, sturdy. I haven't had to use them yet but do not doubt they will work well when the time comes.
