3k Subaru recovers 8k F-250
"Better to have it and not need than need it and not have it. I’ve kept my Ironman Kinetic rope (and soft shackles) in my gear box on top of my Subaru Crosstrek for almost 5 years. In that time it was protected from elements like wind, rain, and dust. But did do hundreds of cycles of heat and cold 20°-115° over the years. I was worried that that might deteriorate the synthetic material over time. Alas, the time has come. I came across an older model F-250 stuck in a 4 foot trench, and wet/muddy ground . Front lockers weren’t working and the rear differential was bottomed out. We tried traction boards, logs, and rocks. But nothing was working. Once we had him in a position where we knew he wouldn’t tip over. We gave the kinetic rope a shot. A 3,000lb Subaru and a nearly 8,000lb F-250. And we got that tank out with 4 easy tugs ! Everyone was surprised, as was I. This would have been impossible with a regular tow strap. 10/10 must buy!"
