Skid Plate Kit

The actual skid plate components are great. The concern I have deals with the installation. There are no detailed instructions nor are there any videos put out by Ironman. regarding installation. I found a video on YouTube and spent several hours trying to line up holes and brackets. I gave up and decided to remove the skid plate brackets. Craigslist has another offering. . .

Great build

Installed this kit with some buds a few weeks ago. So far so good. Kind of pricey but these plates make the stock skids look like paper mache in comparison. Can't wait to put it to the test!

Nice Skid Plate set

These plates are far superior to the OEM skid plates that came on my 2013 4Runner. They were easy to install and should do well in protecting the undercarriage from dirt, debris and the occasional bumps when we are off road.

Finally pull the trigger and its definitely worth it! Took my about 1hr from removing the OEM skid plates and diff drop. Already tested the skid plate at Walker Valley ORV here in WA and held up well, no dents or damage nothing compared to the paper thin OEM ones.

Love this skid, durable, well made and great customer service, super quick shipping! Only thing I wish it had was wings that could bolt on to protect the catalytic converter . . . but it was needed to protect from trail rocks in such anyhow, so I'll just build off of it. Also a side note, if you have a 2 or 3” lift or more, you will need spacers when installing.

Way more beefy than the trash stock skids.

These skids fit perfect, the pictures in the instructions are kind of hard to see though. Little tip, save yourself about 20 extra minutes and DO NOT torque everything down until you have all the skids in place.

Haven't put it through anything extreme yet but I can say it's high quality. Powdercoat was fantastic. The hardware needs to be packed better as I was missing a couple washers(not a big deal) because they fell out of the bag and out of the box. Instructions wasn't that clear but once you figure out what to undo on the car and where to put the new stuff it was decently easy.
