Light load will allow your vehicle to ride similarly to stock for comfort and with little additional payload support.
Medium load gives you the most versatile driving experience. We almost always recommend medium load for vehicles that are occasionally loaded on the weekends but are driven daily without weight during the week. This gives your vehicle the most comfortable and practical ride for most types of off-roaders.
Heavy load will allow you to carry extra weight when loaded AT ALL TIMES. We recommend this option only for vehicles that are constantly loaded with the listed minimum additional payload weight all the time. If not, your vehicle will be a stiff and uncomfortable ride.
Extra heavy loads require a significant amount of additional weight. We recommend you add up all of the additional gear you will have in your vehicle at all times to make sure it meets the minimum listed additional payload. Contact our customer service before ordering extra heavy load springs.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer’s stated Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM). Exceeding the GVM can compromise vehicle safety, performance, and handling, and may void the manufacturer’s warranty. Always consult your vehicle’s owner manual or manufacturer for the correct GVM specifications before loading your vehicle. Use all equipment and accessories responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Designed for and used by the US Military, the Foam Cell Pro shock absorbers are the strongest, most reliable in the market that will serve you for a lifetime. They require less maintenance than other performance shock absorbers and are rebuildable by design.
Foam Cell Technology: Increases shock performance & eliminates shock fade by increasing thermal capacity and eliminating high internal pressures.
2.4” Twin Tube Body: Increased oil volume for improved cooling and endurance. Twin tube construction protects internal components from rock damage.
Hard Chrome Piston Rod: Hardened and polished, volumetrically balanced to piston size.
Flexible Rubber Bushings: Offers quieter operation and reduces damaging side loads from shock absorber.
Supplementary Welded Mounts: Fusion welded and supplementary welded for maximum strength and reliability.
Single Piece Billet Eye Rings & Stems: Ultra robust design prevents breakage or bending of mounts.
Vehicle Specific Valving: Every part number is specially valved for each vehicle application, this ensures the best possible ride and handling as intended by IRONMAN 4X4 suspension engineers.
Extended Travel: Extended travel over OEM suspension. Suitable for standard and raised height vehicles, additional length increases wheel articulation.
Impact Stone Resistant Shield: Steel or Polyethylene dust shield protects piston rod from impacts and road debris.
I’m extremely happy with my decision to go with Ironman FoamCell Pro instead of IMs Dobinson.
For the price these are actually pretty good, they're on the stiffer side for sure but I added a bit of weight to my Mojave and these help with the rebound and the body roll a considerable amount, overall I would recommend them if you don't mind somewhat stiffer suspension than the Mojave originally came with. I have them paired with Clayton off-road 1. 5 in springs front and rear.
I had a moment yesterday to install new leaf springs and the foam cell shocks on my tacoma. Very little clearance on the bottom shock mount. I will check it after driving more for damage to the shock body Only drove 15 miles and the truck handles bumps completely different than before. The packaging during shipping was horrible, both boxes were open and all of the bushings, washers and nuts were taped to the outside of one of the boxes. I was lucky to get all of the hardware to install the shocks. Do better with your packing for shipping. Both shocks were taped together and shipped in the original boxes which were damaged badly. Maybe put them in another box to prevent this happening in the future.
I only have three shocks, it's been over a month. Can't install them in my car with only 3.
Provides excellent travel, is firm but not harsh, keeps truck planted and well-mannered on pavement but articulates well off-road
These are beefy and firm under weight
I love them.
I am not sure if 4 out of 5 is fair. I had the foam cell with the medium coil and my front end was really low. Not sure if maybe they wore out or I had too much weight. Went to these with the heavy coil and got the front end exactly how I want. No nose dive at all! BUT rides a lot stiffer. So hope they break in. For daily driving fine just feel the road a little more. For off road I went on a rocky trail and it was not that good.
Best upgrade I have made on my Nissan 100%! Best decision, best price and I will most definitely be spreading the word on these very high quality coil overs. I’m a customer for life now for sure!
I would like to begin by commending the exceptional build quality of the product. However, I must express my disappointment regarding the incompatibility of these shocks with the rear coil springs, as the springs provided a greater lift than advertised, rendering the shocks too short for proper installation. I had eagerly anticipated utilizing these components, but this issue has unfortunately led to a significant letdown.
I love it. They are s perfect fit

Excellent product! Well built!
Great improvement.
GOOD PRODUCT
Used these to mount my RTT in an extruded aluminum rack after my old mounts cracked on a trip. These are great quality and super rigid compared to what I had before. Plenty strong for a couple hundred pounds of gear flopping around in the rocks.
really good
Shocks are a huge upgrade from Bilstien 5100s. Great value and quality, There are just a few things I wish I knew prior to buying/installing.
1. there is a drivers/passenger side difference, pay attention
2. Front sway bar will need to be relocated or removed.
3. Doesn't come with adjustment wrench.
I installed these shocks on my 4runner. I left the back stock height and leveled the front. I don't plan on adding any weight so I went with aftermarket springs. I used the All Dogs Offroad T-L springs that have a 585 spring rate instead of the over 800 spring rate Ironman offers. They ride very well. They make little bumps feel no existant and big bumps much smoother. The vehicle feels very grounded and doesn't bounce around as much. The overall inroad experience is excellent but haven't gotten to test the offroad yet. I am very happy with these shocks and they are the best bang for your buck. At 2. 8" in diameter for the price u can't beat it.
Got my coilovers. They came in 1/2 inch different in height forcing me to buy their 79 spanner.
I expected a rough ride because of the stiffer coils but I was wrong. They look good and feel good! I'm so sold with these I think I am going full Ironman rig set up. I need Ironman 4x4 to sponsor my 4Runner Lol!
These are massive makes me happy for off roading and towing plenty of oil. Better than Icon.

Impressive all around - my mechanic was jealous.
Got rid of my leaky bags, paired these with some cheap eBay springs and they do the job well until I can get the lift from you guys
You will need the adjustment tool (Foam Cell Pro Adjustment - Service Tool) to spin the adjustment collars. PART NUMBER: ISHOCKTOOL001PS I made my own tool but wasn't happy with it, so I got the right one for the job. I keep adjusting as I installed new heavy bumper and then later a winch in keeping my fenders at 40 inches up from 36 inches stock and with a 1 1/2 body lift, so my suspension lift is only 2 1/2 inches keeping the truck low- centre-of- gravity enough for towing and low roof for going through the car wash to get that nasty northern salt off my 4x4 Ram 1500. Foam Cell Pro with their 130-240-pound 2-inch springs works for me.
I put a 6" Ironman lift on my '97 LC when I bought it 10 years ago. I chose the 6" lift after I had made the mistake of installing the ARB rear bumper, I had to get that thing off the ground. I chose Ironman because it was cheaper than the more complete kits from other vendors. That was another mistake as I had to add more parts to try and get the thing to drive straight. Slee front arms, adjustable rear arms, etc helped. The lift is great, I can fly over washboard that slows everybody else. Finally after 10 years I bashed the outer shell on one of the shocks and had to replace them. After all the parts I added to try and stabilize the front end had helped a bit at a time, these new shocks have finally got the LC to drive pretty well. Now I am thinking of centering the steering wheel as it finally seems worthwhile.
I originally just started off with replacement of the front struts as a leveling kit. After driving around for a few weeks I could feel the difference between the front and rear over bumps so I purchased the remaining parts to finish out the complete rear end with new leaves and shocks. Ride is amazing and feels way better than I ever remember. Definitely recommend!
