Overview

Water in the backcountry is liquid gold, so set up your vehicle with an IRONMAN 4X4 Water Tank.

The IRONMAN 4X4 60L Water Tank is built tough from food grade, BPA free, UV Stabilized Polyethylene ensures you can enjoy clean, taste free water.

All IRONMAN 4X4 water tanks are pressure tested with water at the factory. A small amount of water inside the tank is normal. IRONMAN 4X4 recommends cleaning your water tank before use. Refer to instructions for cleaning procedures.

Excellent upgrade from our Jerry

Excellent upgrade from our Jerry cans. Well built, very sturdy tank. Water tasted perfect as long as the van didn’t sit in the sun. Love that the valve is recessed from the edge of the tank, way safer that way.

Needs work

Tank seems like good quality. Drain valve quality absolutely sucks, Chinese garbage. Find a better valve with better seats. There is also not a vent on this tank. If you don't crack the fill port, it will not flow. Pain in the booty if you plan on putting it somewhere like a compartment. Needs a small vent port with anti spill valve.

Needs a vent

This tank was a great fit and is solidly built BUT it really needs a vent. First trip using it and it collapsed the top in due to pressure from elevation change in a half days worth of driving from Tx to NM. I have been diligent since to vent it each time I stop for gas or drive a steep pass. It has mostly recovered shape but seems to have some likely permanent deformity on the top. I'll be modifying it with a vent, but word of caution to others to do so before taking it on any long trips so that it doesn't lose its shape.

Very solid construction. Use it on my 5th gen 4runner roof rack for gravity feed, but you can hook it up to a water pump. I also purchased the hose kit to use with this and it's perfect length to get water down from my roof rack.

Good but needs handles

Good product for the price, but it really needs to have some sort of handle(s) molded into the plastic. Even empty, it's very unwieldy. Otherwise, does what it's supposed to do. I added brass fittings to replace the plastic stuff.

Looks very promising and well built. Only thing I wish it had was a vented cap or pressure relief valve. A little more expensive than some water containers but simplifies and consolidates it all.

This water tank is a grea

This water tank is a great solution and alternative to trying to find space in the car to put multiple water containers and jerry cans. There are more expensive options out there (including DIY) but this was one of the most affordable tanks. It seems like it will last, although the plastic barbed connection seems like a weak point. I took it on some rough roads in the White River Nat'l Forest, and had no problems. So far, so good. My only issue is that the webpage could provide more detail about the product, especially the diameter of the outlet (both in metric and inches) along with options for connections. Since the water pump kit is out of stock, it took a bit of trial and error to get the right fittings, and I'm not sure if I have the best solution. I think the tank is made in South Africa. While the Q&A says the tank has interior baffles to prevent surging, it would be nice to see a photo of tank cut in half to back up that claim. All in all, I'm so far very pleased with this purchase, and hope it lasts.

I have been looking for a

I have been looking for a water tank all spring and all other manufacturers are sold out. I have not used it yet, but should fit the bill. I Will be using the water for showering, cleaning up around camp, and water for the dogs. I will be interested to see if the water is left with a plastic taste. Put it in the back of the truck, this tank takes up less space than three Jerry cans. It is a little pricey for a water tank but cheaper than the competition. I can't wait to try it out.

Perfect tank for my truck

This is the perfect size for a back seat, floor mounted water tank in my truck. 60L is great for a long weekend . . . cooking, cleaning, and hygiene needs. The tank mouth is also wide enough for my 12v submersible pump. This checks all the boxes and Ironman's sale price was very fair IMO. THANKS!

Outlet barb was loose in the ball valve. Tried to tighten it, but the ball valve started spinning. Not leaking yet, but I'm not too confident in it either.
