Water in the backcountry is liquid gold, so set up your vehicle with an IRONMAN 4X4 Water Tank.

The IRONMAN 4X4 40L Vertical Water Tank is built tough from food grade, BPA free, UV Stabilized Polyethylene ensures you can enjoy clean, taste free water. Perfect fit behind a tray or bed camper.

All IRONMAN 4X4 water tanks are pressure tested with water at the factory. A small amount of water inside the tank is normal. IRONMAN 4X4 recommends cleaning your water tank before use. Refer to instructions for cleaning procedures.

Takes like plastic

I have rinsed this tank out at least 10-12 times. I have used dawn dish soap, food grade peroxide & vinegar but the plastic taste does not diminish. I was told by customer service that the taste should go away after the dawn dish soap but no luck.

Thank for the review. Sorry the water is still tasting like plastic.
Typically the Soap or Vinegar should resolve the issue. Things to double check is the water source. If it is a source you regularly use it is probably not the source. The hose you use the fill the container can sometimes transfer a plastic or rubber taste. If the hose is not the issue then we are back at the storage container.

Since you have tried the soap, peroxide, and vinegar there is a bleach version.
1.5 oz of chlorine bleach for that full tank, let sit over night and then empty and rinse until the chlorine smell is gone. Hopefully, this may help.

Had a little trouble mounting it, but now its great

I wanted to install it inside of my 2017 Land Cruiser behind the second seat; I also have ARB drawers and pet barrier. The tank has no mounting points but after some failed starts and frustration, I successfully mounted it by sandwiching it between 6-inch wooden blocks attached with bolts through the tank's two large holes. I used 4-inch electrical covers as large washers to distribute the connection forces over the blocks' faces. I then bolted the tank to the pet barrier. So far so good. I'll report if I experience future problems.
