I have to give this lift kit a 10/10. Installation was a breeze. The ride quality is amazing and I’m so happy I went with it. The quality of the parts definitely exceeded my expectations. This lift is perfect for the 3rd gen’s. It handles amazing on off-road trails trailsand it is great on roads. Probably the only lift I’m gonna stick with for the price and ride quality. Now let’s talk about the install! It was super easy parts were exactly what it needed everything was there and I think in total it took me 3 hours to install. If I could give it 6 stars I would so for now it’s 5 star lift 5 star install 5 star ride quality

Ive purchased and installed 2 of the nitro 2-3 lifts with heavy springs front and rear and upper arms for 3rd gen tacomas.
The rear springs really fix the slop in the factory rear suspension and the front allows enough droop/ up travel.

Just another well-thought out and engineered piece by the guys at I4x4. Easy installation with the right tools. In the video you'll see that my own pickiness caused me to make a slight, but easily correctible mistake on the front end. Once we fixed that, the rest went on easy, quick, and painless. They know what they are doing with these parts for a great buildout. It rides so much better. Feels like I'm on rails (which was the desired outcome). I have 4 inches more ground clearance in total with a medium load up front and HD in the back. That includes a move from 265 (31 inch) to 285 (33 inch) rubbers.
I'm a buyer for life.

Lift kit is great! Install was straight forward. Only complaint is the springs were not labeled correctly. Since I’m in the US and drive a left hand drive 80 series, the springs marked D/S actually went on the passenger side and the springs marked N/S went on the driver side. Best bet is to measure them. The taller spring goes on the side with the fuel tank!

I’m absolutely in love with how the lift turned out, the parts are excellent quality and the installation wasn’t terrible, the ride quality is incredible, I hit the trails with it and I was really impressed by the damping

Overall the kit was nice and I was able to install on my own. I think the ride is not perfect but it was a really great price and my 4runner looks much better w the lift. You need better instructions that are vehicle specific. I messed around for hours before I figured out that I need to disconnect the sway bar.

Quality components! The truck feels solid and no new shakes or squeaks! Stock front mud flaps had to be deleted to make room for 33’s. No rub otherwise. DIY install took just about 12 hours over two days. Truck looks great!

I purchased the stage two kit on St. Patricks day for 15% off, extremely good deal considering the UCA's are included, no more coil contact for us Pathy/Xterra/Frontier lovers! The package arrived on multiple days, but still fit into my schedule. Trust me, it's worth it. Un-packaging everything was a breeze, make sure you clean/keep old hardware to reuse it, but they do include fresh upper strut mount nuts. Easy install with clear instructions, check youtube if you need more clarity for replacing the drivers side UCA, you will run into the steering linkage and its a pain to get larger sockets around that space, invest in some ratcheting wrenches, 17mm/19mm. Be prepared to need a serious jack stand setup for the rear, you will need the rear coils to sag quite a bit, and get that breaker bar and pipe out for the rear top shock mount bolts. Once the kit was on, the difference in ride was immediate, settled probably . 5 inches, I opted for the heavy front springs as I have an ARB bumper and Ironman's 9500lbs frontier winch. Highway driving is now a relaxing waft down the road, still handles well but takes the bumps and slopes much better, we did a 1600 mile roadtrip back to Colorado right after install and the before and after roadtrip was crazy! Offroad is also very impressive, have put it through its paces on about 200 miles of trails and heavy offroading so far. The suspension meshes well with airing down, articulates plenty even in our IRS/IFS suspension, bumps, ruts, and improved tracks are much more manageable now, quality for the setup has really shown you can beat the s*** out of these shocks with zero fade. I recommend Ironman to anyone on the trail, and have about a $3000 investment into my vehicle strictly from gear from Ironman.

Love the look, definitely good quality, some of the paint was chipped and the powder coating had some drip marks from overstay but nothing that ruined the setup for me. Got it installed in about 7-8 hours. Kinda wish there was some paper instructions rather than just a video but I was able to manage. Overall lift hight was able to hit 3inches. We will see how much it stays after it settles the rest of the way. Ride quality is great, can really tell the diffrence. Definitely would recommend getting this kit!

I love this lift kit. This will be our 3rd 4Runner we have installed a lift kit on. The previous two 4Runners we used Old Man Emu, and they are great and all but we weren’t completely satisfied. So we told ourselves that our 3rd one would get the Ironman lift. So here we are! The Ironman lift kit was super straightforward and easy to install. The car was able to get alligned with no issues. The quality of the Ironman lift kit is far more superior to OME. Our ride quality is great it feels rugged with oem vibes but not super duper stiff like OME was for us. We highly recommend Ironman to anyone who wants to maintain a itty bitty piece of oem ride but something that is rugged and durable and that will shine when you do any light off-roading . We got the 2. 5” on a 2004 Toyota 4Runner Limited.

Great shocks for 4wheel driving. Better handling on rough roads and highway. Hated the floating feeling with stock shocks.

This review is not for the product, rather the lack of receipt of the product. I ordered the 2” Nitro Gas kit at the ned of Nov. There was never an indication as to when the product would ship, but I understood shipping takes 4-6 weeks. However, the “first” shipment didn’t arrive until Feb. It took about 2. 5 months. All 3 boxes arrived as indicated by the shipping labels. However, upon checking the inventory, I discovered the rear shocks were missing. When calling I was informed the rear shocks were on back order and would be shipped ASAP upon arrival. Those arrived 2-3 weeks later, however, IM4X4 called and informed me the rear shocks, while made the same, had a new color scheme and offered to swap the front shocks to match. Other than the initial conversation, which IM4X4 did advise those were also out of stock and it would be April before they’d arrive, there has been no further communication. I will update once they are delivered. However, I definitely could not recommend purchasing products from IM4X4 if the orders take between 2. 5 & 5 months to complete. For 5 months my build has been sitting waiting for the items.

The front leaf springs are almost 2 full inches shorter than they need to be, I didn't think to check until someone on a forum said they had this problem before purchasing Ironman suspension parts.

Couldn't be happier with my purchase. Install was straightforward. Ride feels a little stiff but that is expected while I break them in. Truck does not show any rake and looks level. I went with the 3"

Very easy install, Hooked up a trailer and drove about 3 hours to tha mountains the weekend after the install, suspension handled it like a dream, took it on a very rocky and steep trail and it cleared every rock, very happy with purchase

Lift kit was super easy to install. Only issue I had was figuring out which shocks went in the rear going off the original foam cell technology video. It is the ones without pre pressed bushings by the way!
