Stage Options for Lexus GX470

Stage 1

Stage 1 offers a complete suspension kit with all the necessary components to lift your vehicle and fit custom wheels and tires for better off-road performance.

Stage 2

Stage 2 includes our Pro Forge Upper Control Arms, which help correct your vehicle's geometry back to OEM specifications when lifted. This helps reduce unnecessary wear and tear over time on your vehicle's other suspension components.

Stage 3

Stage 3 includes a panhard bar as well as sway bar links. Upgrading to stage 3 will help re-center your vehicle's axle and reduce body roll after an added lift. Our panhard bar and sway bar links are stronger and more reliable than stock components.

Stage 4

Stage 4 includes rear adjustable lower trailing arms for added strength and durability over stock arms while also allowing for adjustability and fine-tuning to accommodate an added lift.

Load Options

Light Load

Light load will allow your vehicle to ride similarly to stock for comfort and with little additional payload support.

Medium Load

Medium load gives you the most versatile driving experience. We almost always recommend medium load for vehicles that are occasionally loaded on the weekends but are driven daily without weight during the week. This gives your vehicle the most comfortable and practical ride for most types of off-roaders.

Heavy Load

Heavy load will allow you to carry extra weight when loaded AT ALL TIMES. We recommend this option only for vehicles that are constantly loaded with the listed minimum additional payload weight all the time. If not, your vehicle will be a stiff and uncomfortable ride.

Extra-Heavy Load

Extra heavy loads require a significant amount of additional weight. We recommend you add up all of the additional gear you will have in your vehicle at all times to make sure it meets the minimum listed additional payload. Contact our customer service before ordering extra heavy load springs.

"Do yourself a favor and choose a company that cares after you give them your money. I orders my 3” lift back in march 2026. It’s now a few days from August. I was sent 2 different color shocks for my truck. IronMan4x4 still cannot give me an ETA of when I will be able to have matching shocks on my truck. Originally, they said it would be a couple days now they tell me they have no clue, and I should just keep calling and checking back and maybe one of these times I’ll get an answer. I will never order from them again"

Decent lift kit but better options that are same $

"I had Bilsteins on my previous Tacoma and wanted to try Iron Man this time around. Ive had them on for the past 1k miles, and I'm sad to say I am disappointed with them. They don't ride nearly as well as my Bilsteins did, and the Bilsteins were cheaper. I ordered a set of Bilsteins, and I'm going to have to pay another $1k in Labor to have them install my new kit. I wanted to support a local busines but im disapointed with the results. These are a budget lift kit, but you are better off going with Bilsteins for better ride quality."

"This review is not for the product, rather the lack of receipt of the product. I ordered the 2” Nitro Gas kit at the ned of Nov. There was never an indication as to when the product would ship, but I understood shipping takes 4-6 weeks. However, the “first” shipment didn’t arrive until Feb. It took about 2. 5 months. All 3 boxes arrived as indicated by the shipping labels. However, upon checking the inventory, I discovered the rear shocks were missing. When calling I was informed the rear shocks were on back order and would be shipped ASAP upon arrival. Those arrived 2-3 weeks later, however, IM4X4 called and informed me the rear shocks, while made the same, had a new color scheme and offered to swap the front shocks to match. Other than the initial conversation, which IM4X4 did advise those were also out of stock and it would be April before they’d arrive, there has been no further communication. I will update once they are delivered. However, I definitely could not recommend purchasing products from IM4X4 if the orders take between 2. 5 & 5 months to complete. For 5 months my build has been sitting waiting for the items."

"Ive purchased and installed 2 of the nitro 2-3 lifts with heavy springs front and rear and upper arms for 3rd gen tacomas. The rear springs really fix the slop in the factory rear suspension and the front allows enough droop/ up travel."

Q&A

can this setup be used with the Air Bag still in place? The rear Air Bag suspension still works so I do not want to delete until it wears out. So can the front coil over struts 2.5" with the rear shocks at 2.5" lift be used without the airbag delete?
No, you will need to remove the rear airbags and convert the rear axel to accept coil springs.
Does this kit with 3" Front and 3" Rear springs require extended bumpstops on either end?
Not crucial but couldn't hurt.  The best way to check is to cycle the suspension to full compression on a lift for example and see if the bump stop makes contact to the strike plate.  If it won't touch then you could use extended bump stops.
