Today Ironman 4×4 announces its new product line, Aluminum Bull Bars.

Ironman 4×4 has been making and selling premium steel bull bars in Australia and internationally for over 15 years.

“Bull bars are a core product within Ironman 4×4’s offerings” said Adam Craze, Ironman 4×4 Product Director. “Alloy bars are a natural extension of our existing steel bull bar range, offering a lighter, no compromise alternative for frontal protection”.

Starting from scratch, Ironman 4×4 set out to produce an Aluminum Bull Bar that had no compromise in strength and protection. They started with using the highest strength alloy available, 5052 Aluminum. To compensate for the alloy, Ironman 4×4 then beefed up the material thickness, the bar itself is 5mm, the triple loop top tubes are 3mm and the mounting plates a beefy 8mm. Ironman 4×4 has retained their steel mounting bracket for attaching the bar to the vehicle and will retain their winch and airbag compatibility.

All of this additional material still comes at a significant weight saving, being 35% lighter than the equivalent steel bar. This weight saving has many great benefits including assisting keeping the vehicle under GVM and minimizing the load on the front suspension, improving the ride quality of the vehicle.

But the Ironman 4×4 Aluminum Bull Bars aren’t just lighter. They have put a lot of work into the aesthetics of the bars as well. With a polished alloy finish, LED parker/indicator, integrated fog light assembly and twin central aerial tabs these bars look the business.

Ironman 4×4 is initially releasing bars to suit the Ford PX Ranger, with further models to come in the coming months.
