Ironman 4x4`s Suspension Product Manager Kristian Ristell, is pleased to announce the new Grand Vitara suspension kit now available to Suzuki owners who like to get away and use their 4WDs in the bush. This kit has been designed to retain the Suzuki’s brilliant standard driving experience with the awesome bonus of up to 45mm increase in lift depending on the accessories fitted.
The first Grand Vitara to get the Ironman kit was a 2008 V6 manual with tow bar and roof bars owned by Julian Fleurus, a family man that loves to get out and about. Julian loves his Vitara however it had a downside off-road, he had to take things very carefully as the back end was so low the tow bar hit regularly. With 45mm of lift, this problem is significantly improved and as Julian noted there is no harshness in the ride quality with the lift, in fact it’s very smooth, making the driving experience more than pleasurable. Julian is also impressed as he can now negotiate larger bumps at speed without body control issues, plus the greater articulation afforded makes deep holes on and off-road a breeze compared to the standard suspension. Julian also commented that his wife is happy with the raised height so in essence this means there is no downside to fitting the Ironman kit.
Each kit comprises specially designed longer travel nitro gas struts and shock absorbers plus higher rated coil springs designed to handle the extra weight of accessories such as front bars and towbars. As with all Ironman suspension products they are covered by a 2 year 40,000km iron clad warranty.
